1 Known drug dealer litters, plays NWA. A man was cited and arrested Dec. 28 for littering after a Denver police officer saw him litter near the intersection of Park Avenue West and Champa Street. The officer advised the man to pick up the bottle he dropped, but the suspect refused. The suspect then started playing a well-known, anti-police NWA song on his phone. The suspect was a well-known drug dealer.

2 Assault at Denny’s. On Dec. 25, a woman was arrested for assaulting a customer at Denny’s, 1605 Federal Blvd. Denver police responded and learned that the victim had walked to Denny’s. When they arrived, the suspect said they couldn’t be seated because they were too busy. The woman saw that the suspect was eating and told her to “stop stuffing her face,” causing an altercation.

3 Suspects make death threats at Hamburger Stand. The manager of Hamburger Stand, 1205 Federal Blvd., called Denver police on Dec. 26 after she was threatened by some patrons using the bathroom. An employee noticed an odor from the bathrooms and suspected the occupants were doing drugs. The manager knocked on the door and asked them to leave. She was threatened with death.

4 Man punched while trying to steal tip jar. A man was arrested Dec. 27 after causing a disturbance and trying to steal the tip jar at Leela European Cafe, 820 15th St. Denver police learned that the suspect left the restaurants with two coffee cups and broke them. He then came back and tried to steal the tip jar when an unknown patron punched him and took the jar back.
