Police in Greenwood Village are searching for a suspect who fired “multiple” gunshots in an apparent case of interstate road rage on Thursday morning.
The suspect’s vehicle and another vehicle were merging onto southbound Interstate 25 from Interstate 225 at about 7:20 a.m. when one cut the other off. As the two approached the area between Orchard and Arapahoe roads on the interstate, the suspect rolled down his window, displayed a semi-automatic gun and fired.
The shots struck the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle but did not cause any injuries, police said.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with short buzzed hair who was possibly wearing a white or grey t-shirt. Police say the suspect vehicle is a mid-1990’s model black Honda Accord with no license plate and after-market chrome rims.
“The vehicle height has possibly been modified to a low street racer level,” police said.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call police at (303) 486-8216.
