Saturday-Feb. 16. Regular readers of our online music blog, , know the work of photographer . He’s shot the stage at concerts big and small, capturing live scenes of everyone from . For his new exhibit at Leon Gallery, which samples his ongoing project “At Home/On Stage,” Ross takes another tack, making portraits of local players in their homes and studios as well as during shows. Ross is a musician himself, and his goal is to forge a visual path from the process of writing to the job of performing. “It’s a bridge to connect with whoever I’m photographing,” he explains. The 23 musicians in the show include Nathaniel Rateliff, Esmé Patterson, Gregory Alan Isakov, Joe Sampson and Maria Kohler. Through Feb. 16, 1112 E. 17th Ave. 303-832-1599 or leongallery.com.
