For his new exhibit at Leon Gallery, which samples his ongoing project “At Home/On Stage,” Ross takes another tack, making portraits of local players in their homes and studios as well as during shows. Ross is a musician himself, and his goal is to forge a visual path from the process of writing to the job of performing. “It’s a bridge to connect with whoever I’m photographing,” he explains.
