Re: “Al Sharpton isn’t helping anyone,” Jan. 7 Kathleen Parker column.
In Kathleen Parker’s column, the lady doth not protest enough (to sort of quote Shakespeare). Al Sharpton has done more harm to race relations in the last couple of decades than any other single person. Ever since he first rose to prominence by helping to perpetrate the Tawana Brawley hoax in 1987, he has been nothing more than a self-serving race hustler. He incited the Crown Heights riots in 1991, and the torching of Freddy’s Fashion Mart (which killed seven people) in Harlem in 1995. Why anyone credits this man with a shred of credibility is beyond comprehension.
