Lewis-Palmer senior Alexa Smith was named the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame’s high school athlete of the year, the organization announced Wednesday.
Smith led the Rangers to their second-straight 4A state title in November. Smith was the MaxPreps National Player of the Year, the Gatorade state player of the year and was part of the U.S. women’s junior national team that took first place at the U20 NORCECA Continental Championship last summer.
Smith will be honored at the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame’s annual banquet, which takes place April 2 at the Denver Marriott City Center. For more information, go to or call 720-258-3535.
