1 30,000 bottles of beer on the wall. A woman released from detox Dec. 28 was found three hours later sitting in the snow outside the King Soopers at 8055 Sheridan Blvd. in Arvada. Police noticed a strong odor of alcohol, the woman was slurring her words, could barely stand and when asked how much she had to drink, said “30,000 beers.” She was arrested for an open whiskey bottle and transported to an emergency room.

2 Jealous girlfriend attacks. Witnesses in the area of West 58th Avenue and Olde Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada called police Dec. 28 after seeing a woman repeatedly hit a man in the face before he threw her to the ground. The woman said she initiated the attack because she was jealous her boyfriend had been talking to other women at Fuzzy’s Tacos; she was arrested.

3 Stolen vehicle recovered. A license plate check on a 1993 Honda Civic pulling into Savannah Suites Hotel at 6455 Sheridan Blvd. in Arvada on Dec. 25 came back as stolen. Police found burglary tools in the front seat and a destroyed ignition; the driver denied stealing the car and was arrested.

4 Drunk tries to enter wrong house. An intoxicated man who said he was looking for his family and trying to get out of the cold attempted to enter the wrong home in the 5500 block of Newland Way in Arvada on Dec. 28. An officer drew his weapon on the man and ordered him to the ground. He was arrested for trespassing and violation of a protection order.
