A string of street robberies in northeast Denver has led the Denver Police Department to ask residents to be on guard.
Four robberies were reported Monday, and a fifth was reported Tuesday.
Three of the Monday robberies were in the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood, and one was in Montbello. The Tuesday robbery happened in Stapleton, according to Denver police.
The robberies happened in the evenings, said Sgt. Ron Hackett, a department spokesman. Guns have been used, he said.
Descriptions of suspects have varied, so investigators are not sure if the robberies are connected.
Police are asking residents to be cautious by walking in groups, being discreet with valuables and crossing the street or entering a business if they feel threatened.
Residents should report any suspicious activity to police.
