
1 Four nabbed in bank robbery. On Jan. 7, four individuals were arrested after robbing TCF Bank, 1709 Sheridan Blvd., Edgewater. Officers located the suspects after a short vehicle chase. A small-caliber handgun was used in the robbery, and the getaway vehicle had been stolen a short time earlier in Denver. No one was injured during the bank robbery.
2 Man menaces woman with shotgun, knife. On Jan. 5, Edgewater police officers responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Otis Street regarding a woman stating that someone was going to kill her. A 46-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of felony menacing with a shotgun and a knife and third-degree assault. The woman sustained only minor injuries during the incident.
3 Holiday Inn mischief. Lakewood police responded to the Holiday Inn at 7390 W. Hampden Ave. in Lakewood on Jan. 1 regarding a loud party. The night manager of the motel said a young man had punched out lights in the hallway after being kicked out of the spa. The underage male was issued a summons for criminal mischief.
4 Man disobeys police officer. On Jan. 1, Lakewood police responded to the 1400 block of Jay Street regarding a physical disturbance between a man and woman. Both appeared extremely intoxicated, and both alleged the other assaulted them — but neither wished to pursue charges. Ultimately, the man was arrested for disobeying a police officer because of his repeated refusals to leave the residence.
