Christina Presley has been elected president of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver, the first female to lead the 73-year-old organization.
The trade group represents the home construction industry within the eight metro Denver counties. Presley was most recently division president for Meritage Homes Corp., the ninth-largest homebuilder in the U.S. Under her leadership, the Colorado division tripled in size within six years.
“I don’t take this role lightly,” Presley said of her new volunteer position, “and I am committed to doing all I can to promote both the HBA and the homebuilding industry at large, as well as represent the amazing women who are doing incredible things in our industry every day.”
Presley also announced plans to bring the Professional Women in Building Council to the Denver HBA and promote the professional development of women in the homebuilding industry.
The Denver chapter will be inducted at the National Professional Women in Building Conference on Monday in Las Vegas.
