WASHINGTON — Mark your calender, Coloradans. The (media) circus is coming to town this October.

That month, the Republican National Committee will bring one of nine presidential debates to the state of Colorado. The RNC made the announcement today at its winter meeting in San Diego.

There was no mention of a specific date or city, though CNBC was named as the host. In a statement, network officials said the debate — the third of nine — would focus on economic issues.

“We are honored to once again be selected to host this vital conversation. The U.S. economy, jobs and our nation’s position in the world has always been and will continue to be, for a majority of voters, at the center of their decision-making process when they cast their vote,” said Mark Hoffman, CNBC president, in a statement.
