The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for parts of the Front Range foothills until midnight.
The warning, issued at 7:05 p.m. Friday, includes Larimer and Boulder counties between 6,000 and 9,000 feet, Jefferson and west Douglas counties above 6,000 feet and Gilpin, Clear Creek and northeast Park counties below 9,000 feet.
The NWS warning calls for westerly winds of 25-40 mph with gusts of 80 mph in some areas.
