is coming back to Denver, and this time it’s for free.
The hip-hop duo of Killer Mike and El-P just in November, but they’ll be back in town to play a free show backed by House of Vans at Ogden Theatre on Jan. 29.
They’ll be supported by two punk bands – Metz and The Blackouts – and what’s being billed as “a black light video game arcade” made by California artists Jay Howell and Travis Millard.
Run the Jewels has been unstoppable lately. “Run the Jewels 2” was widely considered one of the – if not ٳbest – and the pair have landed spots on the Coachella and Bonnaroo lineups. They also recently announced that they’ll be opening for Jack White at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 30.
Killer Mike and El-P are an energetic duo, but here’s hoping they’re extra fired-up for Denver in anticipation of headlining their hometown’s main stage the next day. (And at the very least, let’s hope the sound is better than it was at the Gothic.)
To get a ticket, RSVP with . There’s a limit of two tickets per person and admittance will be on a first-come, first-served basis until the Ogden reaches capacity. An RSVP doesn’t guarantee entry. Doors will be at 9 p.m.
