The Denver Nuggets assigned guard Erick Green to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League, the team announced Tuesday.
The 6-foot-4 rookie guard averaged 3.3 points in 14 games for Denver.
Green, 23, was drafted in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft with the 46th overall pick by Utah before being traded to the Nuggets. As a senior at Virginia Tech, he led the NCAA in scoring (25.0 ppg) and was recognized as the ACC Player of the Year.
He spent the 2013-14 season with Montepaschi Siena in the Italian League.
