Around 50 protesters, led by attorney Gloria Allred, demonstrated against Bill Cosby before his shows at the Buell Theatre last Saturday. (AAron Ontiveroz, The Denver Post)

Letter-writer Ron Newton laments that those protesting Bill Cosby don’t have all the facts and therefore shouldn’t have an opinion based simply on what they have heard at this point. He feels that they are implying that Cosby is guilty until proven innocent, and I find that to really be a stretch. I thought that “innocent until proven guilty” refers only to the law and our judicial system. Cosby has not been tried, judged or even charged, but does Newton really believe we can’t or shouldn’t have opinions on issues we read about without knowing “all” of the facts and circumstances?
