Everyone’s favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man may be meeting the Avengers soon.

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios announced Monday that . Initially he will appear in one of the MCU films before the series’ next installment, which will be released July 28, 2017.

“We always want to collaborate with the best and most successful filmmakers to grow our franchises and develop our characters,” said Sony Pictures Entertainment chairman and CEO Michael Lynton said in a statement released by Marvel. “… This is the right decision for the franchise, for our business, for Marvel, and for the fans.”

There are five movies scheduled in the MCU before the next Spider-Man film is slated to come out, including “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Ant-Man,” “Captain America: Civil War,” “Doctor Strange” and “Guardians of the Galaxy 2.”
