Getting your player ready...

Interview with Brian Bowen, owner

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: I discovered CrossFit about 10 years ago, and fell in love with it and teaching it to others. After 12 years in active duty in the Air Force, I decided to get out and open up my own CrossFit business.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: We offer the following programs: CrossFit, boot camp, Olympic weightlifting, CrossFit kids, corporate fitness, sports performance, yoga and personal training. We offer intimate, personal attention to each of our members while fostering camaraderie in a supportive group environment. Every one of our members is assigned primary coaches who help them every step of their way throughout their journey of attaining a sound level of health and fitness.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: The community, my members.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: The biggest challenge is accommodating the different levels of athletes in our gym, especially when the class sizes are large.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: We’re not the stereotypical “crazy CrossFit people.” We have clients from all walks of life — soccer moms, doctors, insurance salesmen, computer programmers, high-level athletes, school teachers and more. This diversity is why our community is so strong.
