Colorado Home & Garden Show
Feb. 14-15: There are just two days left to attend the 56th annual show wrapping up 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Feb. 14 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 15. Ten gardens bursting with thousands of blooms, shrubs and trees provide the landscape for the 1,400 booths offering products and services. There are also free educational seminars and how-to demonstrations. Proceeds from admission ($12, $10 seniors, free for kids age 12 and under) are used for horticulture scholarships and grants. Denver Rose Society

The Park People’s Denver Dig Trees
Extended deadline March 6: The 25th annual program to “enhance Denver’s urban tree canopy” offers free and reduced price trees. The Park People evaluated several neighborhoods, and based on their tree coverage, residents may purchase reduced cost ($10 and $35, depending on neighborhood) or free (for those who qualify).
