
For the second time in the last few months, and Denver’s stood side-by-side on a late night stage to stop and clap through their hit song, “Dearly Departed.”
On Friday, Patterson joined Shakey Graves as the musical guest on “Late Show with David Letterman.” Though clearly a little nervous, the duo gave a strong performance, working in some passionate dynamics in the second half of the song. And afterward, Patterson got to shake Letterman as the host commented on Shakey Graves’ trademark suitcase drum.

Before Shakey Graves’ three sold out shows in Denver last year, about writing the hit song with Patterson.
“We just wrote it and brought sheets of music on stage and were wearing ridiculous costumes, and people just went crazy,” of the “Dearly Departed” debut at the Boulder Theater. “It was probably one of the craziest reactions to a song I’ve had ever.”
