New Colorado State football coach Mike Bobo has set the annual Green and Gold spring game for April 18, with an 11 a.m. kickoff at Hughes Stadium in Fort Collins, the school announced Wednesday.

Another opportunity for fans to watch the Rams will be April 11 at the annual Denver-area CSU practice. The time and location of that open practice is yet to be determined.

Regular spring practice drills are scheduled to begin March 10 and generally will be closed to fans and the media.

Bobo, 40, became a head coach for the first time Dec. 22, when he was hired by CSU to replace Jim McElwain, who had departed 17 days earlier to coach the Florida Gators.

A former Georgia quarterback, Bobo had been an assistant coach at his alma mater for 14 years, the last eight as offensive coordinator.
