Saturday: No dance company has done more for flamenco in the U.S than Vivo Carlota Santana. For three decades, the New York-based troupe has set the standard for the form here, touring endlessly with a repertoire of old and new works. Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. performance at the Lakewood Cultural Center is a good chance for local audiences to see what the company can do on the road, where it has made its biggest mark. Led by founder Carlota Santana, the troupe treats the Spanish folk art form with respect, bringing along a tight team of dancers, vocalists and musicians, but it has a contemporary feel with some unique interpretations in the mix. The Lakewood Center, by the way, is an excellent venue for dance — the sightlines, the stage, the sound; it has it all. Tickets start at $18. 470 S. Allison Parkway 303-987-7845 or .
