A woman charged with robbing a 70-year-old woman by hitting her with a wrench has been charged by the Denver district attorney.
Cathy Begano, 56, is charged with one count of robbery of an at-risk adult, one count of identity theft and one count of first-degree aggravated motor vehicle theft.
According to officials, Begano robbed the woman as she was unloading groceries from her car on Dec. 16. Begano then allegedly took the victim’s purse and then fleeing in a stolen car.
Begano is scheduled to appear in Denver County court on March 6; she is currently in custody in El Paso County on other charges.
