1 Flipping off cops. Police went to the 10000 block of Madison Street, Thornton, to investigate a burglary. An officer saw a suspect inside the house and told him to come outside Jan. 24. The suspect walked to the window, flipped off the officer and locked the door. The man actually lived in the house, but he had warrants in another state, so he was arrested.
2 Storefront drinking. The owner of Mi Pueblo Market, 6040 E. 64th Ave., Commerce City, called police because a two people were drinking in front of the store Feb. 13. Police found bottles of vodka, bourbon and two other liquors between them.
3 Meet the neighbors. A man was cited after several of his neighbors in the 12100 block of Washington Center Parkway, Thornton, called police to complain that his house-warming party was too loud Jan. 24.
4 Dirt nap. A police officer found a homeless man sleeping on the ground near West 90th Place and North Federal Boulevard, Federal Heights, on Feb. 6. The man had five empty vodka shooters spread out on his chest, so he was taken to detox.
5 Road rage mediation. A police officer saw a pickup truck driver swerving erratically around a tow truck near the intersection of 80th Avenue and Rosemary Street, Commerce City, on Feb. 13. The pickup truck driver got out of his car and went to yell at the tow truck driver, but the officer intervened and cited him.
6 Stolen buckets. The owner of Ocean Express Car Wash, 9640 N. Federal Blvd., Federal Heights, called police Jan. 27 because someone stole three vacuum buckets from the business.
