has shared the initial lineup for 2015, which will bring Sufjan Stevens, Jason Isbell, Kasey Chambers, Richard Thompson and more.
According to festival organizers, the Folks Fest show will be Stevens’ only Colorado performance this year, and his first since 2010. Stevens has also announced a new album due out this year, “Carrie & Lowell,” which he’s said will be a return to his folk roots. This month he released the first single from the album.

“I’m here to say how important Planet Bluegrass and Lyons are to Colorado,” shouted Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper before introducing Imelda May at the Folks Festival on Saturday evening. The 24th annual Folks Festival featured a smorgasbord of musical styles, from humorous performers to bluegrass-tinged artists to straight out rock and roll.
Three-day passes and camping passes are on sale now and cost $145 and $215, respectively.
