Tonight-Saturday: The Pro Musica Colorado Chamber Orchestra steps it up in a big way this weekend, with an ambitious concert incorporating film and choral work into its usual (and always fine) routine. The orchestra will screen the 1928 silent movie, “The Passion of Joan of Arc,” while performing a new oratorio, “Voices of Light,” by composer Richard Einhorn. The Saint John’s Cathedral Choir adds vocals and Cynthia Katsarelis conducts. “St. Joan” directed by Carl Theodor Dreyer, premiered in 1928 and follows the trial of the French icon. It frequently shows up on lists of the best films ever made. 7:30 p.m. Friday, St. John’s Cathedral, 1350 Washington St., and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, First United Methodist Church, 1421 Spruce St., Boulder. $25. 720-443-0565 or
