Friday-Sunday: Even in Colorado’s giddy, high-country party atmosphere, the Frozen Dead Guy Days festival has managed to stand out since it was founded in 2001. The event, whose inspiration “Grandpa” Bredo Morstol is stored on dry ice in a Tuff Shed, is a goofy winter send-off with slushy polar plunges, a hearse parade, coffin-race teams and other events that are expected to attract about 10,000 this year. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Colorado festival without live music from 20 different bands (including the Friday the 13th “Superstition Blue Ball”) and beer from Oskar Blues. Come for the ice turkey bowling, stay for the frozen T-shirt contest. 5-10 p.m. March 13, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. March 14, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. March 15 in downtown Nederland. Many events free; $10 Blue Ball tickets. .
