A man was arrested Monday in Loveland after police said he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulted her friend, a day after holding his ex captive.
Loveland police said Donald Gray, 30, was arrested just after midnight early Monday morning on a felony charge of first-degree burglary and misdemeanor counts of third-degree assault, criminal mischief, child abuse and domestic violence.
Gray had an outstanding warrant at the time of his arrest stemming from an incident Sunday in which he is accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend at her home on East 27th Street, taking her phone and keeping her inside a bedroom for more than two hours.
When Gray finally left the home Sunday, his ex-girlfriend called police and a warrant was issued on a felony charge of false imprisonment, and misdemeanor charges of third-degree assault, obstruction of telephone service and domestic violence.
Gray is being held at the Larimer County Jail on $20,000 bond. He’s due in court on March 24.
