A man suspected of spray-painting “my wife is a cheater” on his Arvada home before setting it ablaze last week was charged formally with 13 counts Tuesday in Jefferson County court.
William Eugene Lindauer, 31, faces charges including arson, criminal mischief and animal cruelty. He is being held at the county’s jail in lieu of $200,000 bail.
Bail initially was set at $50,000. The district attorney’s office says it was raised after new evidence led investigators to believe Lindauer may have been stalking his wife.
Officials say Lindauer scrawled “my wife is a cheater” on his home before lighting it on fire March 10.
