A minor and a woman have been airlifted to a local hospital with injuries after the vehicle they were riding in rolled on Interstate 70 on Sunday.

Around 4:30 p.m., a Toyota sedan rolled while driving westbound on I-70 around mile marker 336 in Elbert County, said Colorado State Patrol trooper Josh Lewis.

Lewis said four people were inside the car.

The extent of the injuries of the airlifted parties remains unknown, Lewis said.

The driver, a 33-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and another minor was uninjured, Lewis said.

Traffic slowed in the area as at least the left lane was shut down on the westbound side of the highway, Lewis said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
