Residents in two Denver neighborhoods with landline phones should receive a test call from Denver’s 911 Communications Center on Tuesday.
Residents in the Harvey Park South and Capitol Hill neighborhoods can expect a call between 5 and 7 p.m. to test a new neighborhood notification system, according to the Denver Police Department.
No action is needed from the public for those who do and do not receive the call, police said.
The new system should be deployed later in 2015, and an announcement will be made alerting residents how they can sign up to receive notifications via cell phones, police said.
