1 Officer verbally attacked. A woman arrested for suspicion of DUI on March 23 near Interstate 70 and Interstate 76 in Arvada screamed “pedophile” at the arresting officer so loud, a report said his ears began ringing.

2 Man ambushed by ex-wife’s beau. A man pulling into a parking lot to visit his ex-wife in the 8500 block of Robb Court in Arvada on March 17 used a pool stick to fend off an attack from the woman’s boyfriend. The assailant was cited for assault.

3 Man gives neighborhood middle finger. Police told an Arvada man to slow down after residents in the 8400 block of Fenton Street complained he constantly raced his Ford F150 through the neighborhood. A week later on March 13, the man was issued a summons after he was filmed driving through the neighborhood with his middle finger extended.

4 Tenant suffers pepper spraying. Police issued a summons March 14 to a woman who pepper sprayed a tenant who had outstayed his welcome at a home owned by her boyfriend in the 6300 block of Yank Court in Arvada.

5 Polite shoplifter nabbed. A man caught shoplifting rechargeable batteries, female lubricant, prenatal pills, a thermometer and pregnancy test from King Soopers, 8055 Sheridan Blvd., Arvada, on March 13 was described as “cooperative” by police. He gave no explanation for attempting to steal the products.

6 Thieves steal truck. A 2006 Ford F150 was reported stolen March 12 in the 6800 block of Eaton Street in Arvada. The owner said there was a key hidden in the vehicle which the thieves likely found.
