ASPEN — An Aspen man pleaded guilty Monday to felony stalking nearly eight months after police arrested him on suspicion of leaving poems and candy on the front porch of a family’s home.
Pitkin County Judge Gail Nichols approved the plea agreement for Eric J. Nilan, 34, who has been in custody since his Aug. 16 arrest.
Nilan awaits a sentencing slated for May 4. Those involved in the case have tentatively agreed to a four-year deferred judgment, but Nichols said she must review a pre-sentence report before she OKs the deal.
