1 Brass instruments played on street. On March 31, two men were cited for disturbing the peace near the intersection of 14th Street and Curtis for playing brass instruments. Denver police had been called four times and one of the callers said he had taken a sleeping pill, but still couldn’t sleep due to the noise.

2 Man fights off street thieves. A man called Denver police on March 30 after he fended off some potential robbers in the 5100 block Hannibal Street. The victim told police a car approached and a man inside demanded the victim’s backpack. The victim was then knocked down and hit several times, but fought off the suspect.

3 Woman breaks glass over woman’s head, robs her. On March 26, a woman was arrested in the 8500 block of East Colfax Avenue after she broke a vodka bottle over a woman’s head and took $40 from her pocket. The victim then followed the woman home and waited for police to arrive.

4 Suspect starts fight at skate park. On March 28, a Denver police officer observed a man take his shirt off and start a fight by pushing a guy and then punching him at a skate park at 20th Street and Little Raven Street. Others in the area broke up the fight and the suspect fled but was caught by police and arrested.

5 Trespasser returns. The manager of Econo Liquors, 2239 E. Bruce Randolph Ave., called Denver police on March 27 after an unwanted customer returned to the premises. The suspect had been known for loitering in the area and was told not to return. The suspect repeatedly bothers customers and asks for money.
