Authorities in Douglas County say an 18-year-old inmate who did not return from unsupervised work release early Thursday has been arrested in Parker.
Richard Jacob Olejniczak failed to return to custody as he was scheduled at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday.
The county sheriff’s office announced his arrest by police in Parker at about noon.
“When it was determined he did not show up, a metro wide (be on the lookout alert) was sent,” the county sheriff’s office said.
Olejniczak was not considered a threat to the public, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office says Olejniczak will be facing new charges but it was not immediately clear what those would be.
“It is possible that he will face new charges from the Parker Police Department as well,” Deputy Chad Teller, an office spokesman, said.
