East Colfax, which has seen a , is looking to join the list of Denver’s many neighborhood music events with the first-ever .
“We’ve created a neighborhood festival similar to a lot of festivals that exist here — 4/20 in the Streets in Five Points, LoHi Festival in Lower Highlands, every neighborhood has an outdoor block party,” said event co-organizer and spokesman Bart Dahl. “We want to celebrate these different areas in the city and shine the light outside of downtown.”
Today, the Bluebird District Music Festival has shared its initial 2015 lineup, which brings A. Tom Collins, Dragondeer, the Blue Rider and more to Goosetown Tavern, Southside Bar Kitchen, Park House, Park House Outdoor Stage, Lost Lake Lounge and Bluebird Theater.
Taking place on July 10-12, festivalgoers can purchase a three-day wristband for $20, which provides access to each of the East Colfax venues. With more acts to be announced, the festival will bring more than 80 acts in total over the three days.

The festival is organized by area venue managers and talent buyers Drew Gottlieb (Park House), Rob Crawford (Goosetown Tavern), John Elliott (South Side Bar and Kitchen), Tony Mason (Lost Lake), Bart Dahl (Lost Lake).
AEG operates the Bluebird Theater and AEG promoter Scott Campbell owns the Lost Lake Lounge. Besides shows that had been booked at the Bluebird Theater prior to the creation of the festival, AEG has had no involvement with the Bluebird District Music Festival, Dahl said.
“Scott owns the Lost Lake, so in that sense he’s involved as the owner of the building,” Dahl said.
“Really it’s sort of a loose collective of people trying to put on some shows to highlight the area as an entertainment destination,” Dahl said.
