A Colorado Springs police sergeant was arrested Monday morning on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass — a felony — in a domestic violence complaint, authorities say.
Sgt. Brad Pratt, 45, has been placed on paid administrative leave, police said. El Paso County jail records show Pratt, who was hired by the police department in 2003, was booked into custody.
Police say Pratt was arrested after an investigation by the county sheriff’s office but did not elaborate further.
Police Chief Pete Cary said in a statement that he is committed to cooperating with the sheriff’s office investigation, calling the arrest “troubling.”
