
1 Birthday party ends in violence. A night of drinking in celebration of his birthday ended April 3 when a man punched out the windshield of his girlfriend’s 2004 Chevy Impala as she attempted to flee following a fight in the 6600 block Depew Street, Arvada. The woman told police he had been angry all day because his family was not with him to celebrate, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
2 Puffer stolen. A 2004 Buick Rendezvous left unattended with the engine running was stolen in the 5900 block of Estes Court in Arvada on April 2.
3 Parking-lot partiers. Chic-fil-A employees at 5236 Wadsworth Blvd. in Arvada called police April 3 to report two men sitting in a car smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol. Police asked the duo about the “overwhelming” smell of burnt marijuana, and were told it was gasoline. The driver was sent to detox and cited with five drinking and possession offences.
4 Beef at McDonald’s. A heated argument between four occupants of a car and two people exiting McDonald’s, 5235 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, on April 3 ended when one of the men picked up a large rock and smashed the back window. He was identified as a former employee and issued a summons.
5 Criminal mischief. A man was issued a summons in the 7900 block of Oberon Road following an April 8 argument between three people after it was reported he poked a woman in the eye, pushed her and broke her cellphone.
