Interview with Ed Ginsburg, owner

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: We started as a test in Southwest Plaza Mall to see how we were received. Everything has gone so well that we have moved and expanded. We are family operated and we put our hearts on the table every day.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: All our dogs are made to order. Although we specialize in gourmet dogs, we try and keep things on as healthy a note as possible. For example, we make our chili with turkey, we put less fat in our dogs and then split and grill them to remove even more of the fat. Our flavors are mouthwatering and unique.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: I hear it every day — customers say it’s the best dog they’ve ever had. I can’t hear it enough.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: Like every small business, we’re no different … cash flow and personnel are our biggest challenges.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: Forget whatever you thought you knew about hot dogs. Our dogs are made from some of the finest cuts available. No parts! Our toppings are fresh, so be ready for some of the best food you’ll eat. We serve everything from a barbecue brisket dog, pastrami dog, fried pickle dog to a pizza or spaghetti dog. We also do spicy really well. Come visit, you won’t be disappointed.
