The Rapids are considering recalling Charles Eloundou and Marlon Hairston from their USL affiliate Charlotte Independence, coach Pablo Mastroeni said Tuesday.

“Because we are thin and with the string of games coming up, I think it’d be naive on our part not to consider that and act on that as well,” Mastroeni said.

The Rapids will have a stretch of three games in nine days beginning on Friday, when they face FC Dallas at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park at 8 p.m.

Mastroeni had limited offensive options on the bench on Saturday against Seattle Sounders FC. Striker Dominique Badji was held out with a hamstring injury, but completed a training session Tuesday. Mastroeni said he would be available for selection on Friday.

Carlos Alvarez, another attacking option, is still recovering from an ankle sprain and is not yet fit enough to play, Mastroeni said. Dillon Serna, who scored a beautiful goal two weeks ago against Dallas, is away with the U.S. Under-23 National Team.
