1 Drunken cowboy. Golden police went to Blue Canyon Bar and Grill, 1224 Washington Ave., on April 3 on a report of a drunken man in a cowboy hat harassing people at the door. When contacted, the man reported his wallet and phone missing. The man said he was from Texas but would not say where he was staying locally. He then became aggressive, so police took him to a nearby detoxification facility.

2 Sneaky shopper. A woman was charged with shoplifting April 10 at Safeway, 27152 Main St., Conifer. Store employees said they saw her enter the store with her own plastic bags, bag grocery items as she shopped and leave without paying. When confronted in the parking lot, the woman claimed she was going to her car to get her wallet, though her purse was with her.

3 Park gate damaged. Frisbee golfers at Beaver Park in the 11000 block of South Foxton Road, Conifer, agreed to help repair a gate there April 8. They said they were looking for a lost Frisbee at sunset, when the park was closing, and returned to find their vehicle locked in the parking lot. They lifted the lot’s gate from its hinges to remove their car. They said the gate was OK when they left, but the park ranger found it damaged the next morning.

4 Unsatisfied customer. A woman was charged with theft April 9 from Walmart, 952 Swede Gulch, Evergreen. Walmart serviced her car a month earlier. She said that when she went to get her car, she was upset to find it unlocked and unattended, with no employees around. She left without paying and skirted Walmart’s requests for payment.
