After additional evidence testing was completed earlier this year, police in Colorado Springs announced they have identified a suspect in a 2007 sexual assault and arrested him.
A felony arrest warrant was issued earlier this month for 44-year-old Gary F. Hargraves. Attempts to find him were initially unsuccessful before he was taken into custody this week, police announced Wednesday.
No suspects were identified following an initial investigation after a woman was sexually assaulted in November 2007, police said.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation completed additional testing on evidence in the case in January and notified authorities in Colorado Springs that results identified Hargraves as a suspect.
