Saturday: Since the 45th annual Earth Day fell in the middle of a week this year (Wednesday) some decided to celebrate it last weekend — or on the actual day. But there are still worthy events to be had, including the warm-and-fuzzy- sounding Bee Earth Day in the Children’s Peace Garden in Boulder, which is part of the larger Growing Gardens organic farm. This year’s fourth annual celebration offers free plant seeds to kids and hands-on investigations of insect habitats, worm composting, honeybees, garden art, garden mazes and obstacles, and live bluegrass music from Farm Fresh Onions and Mayhem Trio. Admission and most activities are free. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 25 at 1630 Hawthorn Ave. 303-443-9952 or .
