April 30 marks the biggest night of the year for the Denver/Boulder restaurant scene’s collective charitable efforts: More than 250 dining spots will join forces for Dining Out for Life, which benefits , the volunteer effort that provides meals for people with life-threatening illnesses.

Participating restaurants will donate 25 percent of food sales to support the project’s mission of delivering nutritious meals to improve quality of life for these patients.

Most Project Angel Heart clients are coping with cancer, end-stage renal disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, HIV/AIDS or diabetes. In 2013, the Denver-based organization served 2,095 clients along the Front Range, making more than 45,000 weekly meal deliveries with assistance from 8,600 volunteers.

Participating restaurants include breakfast-lunch-and-dinner operations, so diners can help the cause at any meal of the day. It’s an A-to-Z list, from ACE Eat Serve to Zaidy’s Deli. Among the restaurants are Lower48 Kitchen, Lena, Brazen, Rosenberg’s Bagel and Delicatessen, Stoic and Genuine, Beast + Bottle, Barolo Grill and Anthony’s Pizza and Pasta locations.
