Former Invicta FC atomweight champion Michelle Waterson signed to fight in UFC’s 115-pound strawweight division, the company announced Tuesday.
Waterson, who also goes by the nickname “The Karate Hottie,” held Invicta’s belt from April 2013 to December 2014, when she lost to Herica Tiburcio by submission in the third round.
The 29-year-old was born in Colorado Springs and was raised in Aurora where she graduated from Aurora Central. She has a 12-4 record in MMA.
