1 Unlocked cars entered in Edgewater. During the early-morning hours on April 24, three vehicles were entered in the 1800-1900 block of Fenton Street in Edgewater. Police say all three vehicles were unlocked. A registration card was stolen from one of the vehicles.

2 Woman assaulted at motel. Officers arrested a man April 20 for third-degree assault, harassment and domestic violence after responding to a disturbance at the Blue Sky Motel, 6205 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood. The man became angry when his girlfriend told him she was leaving him, and he punched her in the mouth and shoved her.

3 Aggressive arrestee. On April 21, Edgewater police officers responded to a residence in the 6900 block of West 25th Avenue regarding a noise complaint. The 34-year-old female resident in the apartment unit refused to comply with the officers and became physically combative. Officers took her into custody with minimal force, but she sustained a minor injury when she slammed her head into the cage in the patrol vehicle.

4 Frequent drug user pulled over. After being pulled over April 19 in the area of West 13th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, a 28-year-old woman was arrested for possession of a small amount of crystal meth and a warrant for failure to appear in court. She said she was a frequent drug user and refused to get help.

5 Car stolen from grocery store. Sometime around 12:05 p.m. April 25, a dark blue 1997 Honda Accord was stolen from the King Soopers parking lot at 1725 Sheridan Blvd., Edgewater.
