Sling, which was developed by Douglas County’s Dish Network, experimented with this “over the top” service a few years ago via DishWorld, which was last month.
But the two new tiers are not part of Sling International. Sling International is a separate TV service requiring users to pick a base language and build international channels on top of that language. Sling TV requires a base package of about 20 channels that include ESPN, HGTV and Disney. Additional tiers, such as the two new Spanish-language ones, are an extra $5 per month. Customers, however, can subscribe to both Sling offerings using one account.
