The University of Denver issued an alert Tuesday night for a possible person with a gun in the Ritchie Center, but a Denver police spokesman said the “gun” turned out to be a hockey stick.
In a warning issued on Twitter, the university said a suspicious person was on the campus and told people to stay indoors.
The university’s Twitter feed had said anyone outside should seek safety in the nearest locked room, and that all parties should await an all-clear, the alert said.
