Hands-on summer exhibition

The Longmont Museum has called on some big resources for “Robots Rising,” including regional engineering and robotics professionals and firms. Museumgoers can visit 14 interactive stations, learn how robots work and create their own ‘bots. A free Family Celebration, 1 to 3 p.m. May 9, kicks off several activities that will continue through January 2016. They include films, camps, competitions and more. Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday- Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Special exhibit admission is $8, $5 students and seniors (62 and over); free for 3 and under. 400 Quail Road, Longmont, 303-651-8374,
