COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Residents of Red Rock Valley near Colorado Springs are complaining about high-powered rifles being fired repeatedly near their homes.

Neighbors say firing weapons is not appropriate in a residential neighborhood of 80 or so homes, but authorities say it’s legal.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reports (http://tinyurl.com/lf6yzb6 ) authorities identified one of the persons responsible and asked him to stop, and the man refused.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says there are no specific regulations against shooting in the county.
