If you’re planning on flying to Austin tomorrow for annual psych festival Levitation, maybe unpack that bag: The festival just announced they’re cancelling this year’s event.
The announcement came Thursday evening, less than 24 hours before Levitation was scheduled to start. The festival cited weather and safety concerns as reasons for pulling out.
Per Levitation’s :
It is with great sadness that we must report that due to safety concerns regarding dangerous weather, Levitation 2016 has been cancelled.
This decision is heartbreaking, but itap a decision officials have made for the safety of festival attendees, and safety is our first priority. The festival will be issuing refunds for tickets and passes.

The cancellation comes in the wake of . On Monday, the floodgate at Austin’s Mansfield Dam was in 2007 as the city prepared for “90,000 acre-feet of water” to flow into Lake Buchannan throughout the week.
The this weekend shows the city is expecting even more storms through Sunday.
Brian Wilson, Animal Collective, Flying Lotus, Caribou and many more were scheduled to play the festival this weekend. Levitation has stated it’s working to book as many acts as possible to indoor venues around Austin:
