New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski were named the finalists for the Madden NFL 16 cover vote, Electronic Arts announced Tuesday morning.
Pittsburgh receiver Antonio Brown and Arizona cornerback Patrick Peterson were the other two in the semifinal.
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman graced the cover of Madden NFL 15. No Denver Broncos player has ever been on the cover.
Voting for the semifinal round ran through Monday at 1 a.m. The winner will be revealed during the 4 p.m. May 13 edition of “SportsCenter” on ESPN.
The winner cover athlete will be boosted to 99 overall after the reveal.
Madden NFL 16 is scheduled to be released on Aug. 25 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
